We have made it to the final stage of exterior restoration. Our third and final paint colour is going on……pale, creamy pink. The decorative rain caps above each window, storm windows and the famous Bonavista roundel and panel are all taking to coats of our shocking pink highlight colour and the comments are already starting.
When Leann and I would tell people that our doors and storms would be pink they thought we were joking. “You can’t be serious” they would say……”PINK”! Now passersby are lining up to complement our choice. The pale pink will provide a soft relief from the blue-green walls our little heritage house.
We always knew we would be having a third colour because it was the only way to highlight the small decorative details on Pardy House which would likely be over look if simply painted our creamy white trim colour. We wanted the details to have an understated elegance, not make a loud statement and I think pale pink was the right selection to do this.
Looking at the photos I would love to hear some comments on what you think. Neighbors and friends say they like it…….but are they just being kind??? We love the selection but honestly does the public? Drop me a comment.
