Published on September 27, 2012

If you are 12 or older, want to meet friends and try something new, then we have just the thing for you! By joining Air Cadets, you are saying YES! to fun activities and exciting challenges supervised by trained adult leaders.

History of 567 Random Squadron:

567 Random Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS) was formed in 1953 under the sponsorship of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 27, Clarenville. The first Commanding Officer was Mr. Angus Drover, a veteran of World War II. For a short period of time the squadron was sponsored by both Branch 27 & the IOOF Oddfellows organization, however, after a few short years the Legion again took over sponsorship and continue to be the sole sponsor of 567 Random RCACS. The present Commanding Officer is Captain Jackie Vokey who started out as a cadet with 567 Random RCACS.

What do Air Cadets Do?

The motto of the air cadets is “To Learn....To Serve....To Advance”  With this in mind, the aim of the cadet program is to develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promote physical fitness and stimulate the interest of youth in sea, land, and air activities of the Canadian Forces. Activities include:
