History of 567 Random Squadron:
567 Random Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS) was formed in 1953 under the sponsorship of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 27, Clarenville. The first Commanding Officer was Mr. Angus Drover, a veteran of World War II. For a short period of time the squadron was sponsored by both Branch 27 & the IOOF Oddfellows organization, however, after a few short years the Legion again took over sponsorship and continue to be the sole sponsor of 567 Random RCACS. The present Commanding Officer is Captain Jackie Vokey who started out as a cadet with 567 Random RCACS.
