Catalina man charged with stealing vehicle

The RCMP Bonavista detachment responded to a call of a stolen vehicle on Tuesday, May 8. RCMP Traffic Services located the vehicle the following day on the Trans Canada Highway near the exit to Bellevue. The male driver was arrested and brought back to the Bonavista detachment. He appeared in Clarenville provincial court on Thursday, May 10 for a bail hearing. He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bonavista provincial court on Tuesday, May 29.
