This iceberg, which started out as a larger ice island earlier this month, has been grounded just off the shore of Britannia on Random Island for more than a week.

Compared to the size of the United Church in Britannia, seen in the foreground, the berg is an enormous one. Bits of the berg have been breaking off in recent days but there's still a lot of ice to melt.

The berg continues to draw sightseers and photographers to the area daily. One of the best vantage points to get a close-up look at this bit of glacier is from the beach at Britannia.
