'Awesome' is how Jill Monk describes the overwhelming response to the voting for the TSN/Kraft Celebration Tour Challenge.

Monk submitted the Elizabeth Swan Memorial Park in Clarenville to receive the $25,000 funding.

After making the top 20, Clarenville was paired with Canning, Nova Scotia for the final vote. Following 24 hours of on-line voting from July 10 to July 11, Clarenville was declared the winner. The Clarenville project garnered 385,717 votes over the 24-hour period.

The announcement was made earlier tonight on TSN.

The community will receive $25,000 to carry out upgrades to the Elizabeth Swan Memorial Park. How that money will be spent will be decided in the coming weeks.

Congratulations Clarenville on winning the Kraft Tour Challenge. I'm sure the E Swan Park will look fantastic following renovations. Will be sure to stop by on next visit to the Rock.
