Accident in Terra Nova

Police and emergency crews are at the scene of a motor vehicle collision near Cobblers Brook, close to the east entrance to Terra Nova National Park.

A pick-up truck has been overturned. A small, white car was also involved in the collision.

The Trans-Canada Highway has been reduced to one lane near the scene, and traffic is backed up about five kilometres in each direction. Drivers may wait an hour or more to get through the area.

The RCMP asks drivers to be patient and drive with caution.
