A truck lost control and left the Trans Canada Highway this morning, crushing a guardrail and sliding down an embankment. RCMP say the truck rolled before it came to a stop. Two occupants, a male and female, were brought to hospital with minor injuries. The Trans Canada Highway was blocked for half an hour while a tow truck removed the vehicle.

Roads are very wet and police advise drivers to be cautious and slow down.

I was the female passenger along with my fiancé in this accident. We are two very lucky people who escaped with only minor bruising and stitches. We hydroplaned across the road into on coming traffic, several times, them flipped over the guardrail front on, rowed over sideways on to the rightup position. We must of had a guarding angel on your side that day. Lee and I didn't get any names of the people who helped us out that day. We are so greatly appreciative of what all those people did for us. There was the man or men who came back when the saw us leave the road, one guy sat with Lee while waiting for ambulance to arrive and kept him calm, I sat with a guy in a light and power truck, the ambulance attendants, police, volunteer fire people and the health care team at the Clarenville hospital, were all so good to us. If anyone sees this and knows of someone who helped us in anyway....please thank them for Lee and I, thanks
