Bob Hiscock, the new Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Clarenville, starts work today.

Hiscock was born and grew up in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor. It was here he got his introduction to municipal government. He was hired as a summer student by the town and worked there for three consecutive summers.

From that time on, the majority of Hiscock's professional career has been working in some capacity of local government. He has worked in various disciplines such as planning, development and engineering with a number of communities in the province. He has also worked with the Department of Municipal Affairs. His most recent position was town manager with the Town of Deer Lake.

Hiscock's educational background includes post secondary studies in Local Government Studies at Dalhousie University, and Geographical Information Systems as well as Architectural Technology at the College of the North Atlantic.

Hiscock, his wife Marie and sons, Matthew and Andrew, are extremely excited about living in Clarenville.
