The Kiwanis Club of Clarenville wrapped up another successful music festival last week.

While the weather conspired against them for a couple of days, the music continued through the week at the Clarenville Events Centre and various other locations around town.

For the final week of the concert, the public was invited to Highlights Festivals, showcasing some of the musical talent from around the area.

The Major awards of the Festival are the Junior and Senior Rose Bowl awards. Eda Lu won the Junior Rose Bowl while Victoria Pike won the Senior Rose Bowl. Taylor Russell and Leah Peddle also competed for the Junior Rose Bowl, while Ben Rogers and Chandler Coish participated in the Senior Rose Bowl.

The winners were announced after the Rose Bowl concert on Saturday, April 1, at the Eastlink Events Centre.

Two “Faces of Clarenville” were also added for the town’s Canada 150 celebrations. Millicent and Joliffe Quinton were honoured for their commitment to the music community in the area over the years.
