CLARENVILLE, NL – This year’s Clarenville Area Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee’s annual Battle of the Brains was another success.

The winning team was comprised of Sue Bird, Robyn Smith, Terri Luther, Chris Prior, Pete Cleary and Brian Loder.

Funds raised during the event, which was held on March 16, allow the committee to carry out crime prevention initiatives in the Clarenville RCMP detachment area.

In addition to a number of other ongoing initiatives, this year’s funds raised will go towards a project to help youth make safe and informed choices when using the internet and cell phones.

The committee thanks all the teams that entered the competition, emcee John Russell and everyone who volunteered for the event, as well as Fine Things, which donates the keeper plaques and the trophy engraving each year.
