Two men dead after separate motorcycle collisions in Newfoundland

Two motorcyclists have died following separate collisions in Newfoundland Thursday, the RCMP reports.

A 64-year-old man was in a single-motorcycle collision around 3 p.m. on Route 310 on the Eastport Peninsula. The RCMP says the man was pronounced dead shortly after being brought to hospital in Gander.

A 53-year-old man died in hospital in St. John’s after a single-motorcycle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Holyrood access exit. Holyrood and Ferryland RCMP detachments responded to the incident around 3:30 p.m.

The RCMP says both collisions are being investigated.
