Local volleyball teams winners at Burger King Challenge

Several teams from the local area were successful at a volleyball tournament this past weekend in St. John’s.

The Tricentia Academy Timberwolves 15U female team took the top spot in tier one at the MUN Seahawks 2nd annual Burger King Classic.

They defeated the Clarenville Middle Tigers in the final in straight sets.

The Girls 15U NLVA Provincial Championships will be held in Clarenville this weekend, Feb. 3-4.

The Clarenville High Cougars male varsity team also took the top spot at the Burger King Eastern Canadian Challenge this past weekend.
