Hitmen beat StrayKatz in Labour Day softball championship

The 38th annual Labour Day Softball tournament was held in Clarenville this past weekend, with 24 teams competing from Friday to Monday.

In the championship, the A division winners AFN Hitmen defeated B division winners StrayKatz to take the trophy.
AFN Hitmen captain Neil Hunt of St. John’s accepted the tournament trophy from convener Scott Maidment.
The StrayKatz, a team made up of local players, won the B division and played off with the Hitmen in the finals.
Route 210 won C division, and Goulds Rulez won D division.
