The Ability Employment Corporation (AEC) is entering an Avia Insurance Company funding contest vying for $100,000 in funding to build a wheelchair accessible edible path around the premises of Clarenville’s Farm and Market.

The edible path would educate patrons on the health benefits of consuming Newfoundland plant life.

Apart from being wheelchair accessible, braille signs would be posted throughout the path.

According to a Farm and Market representative, a minimum of 20,000 votes will be needed to have a shot at the $100,000 prize.

Visit https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/18-55 to see the project details and create an account to vote.

Voting begins Sept. 25 and ends Oct. 4. Members can vote up to 10 times for a project.
