Listings should be typed, 50 words or less, and include the community in which your event is being held. You may also include one photo, if you wish, but it cannot be a poster. The Clarenville Wishmaker Walk will be Halloween-themed. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and there will be "trick-or-treating" games and prizes. At the Bill Davis Chalet & Rotary Trail, beginning at 10 a.m. for children aged 7 years and under, and at 1 p.m. for ages 8 years and older. Dress in your favorite Halloween costume, then walk the Rotary Trail to find treats. The Clarenville Scouts will be decorating the trail.

COLLECTING USED EYEGLASSES & HEARING AIDS

Clarenville Lions Club is collecting used eyeglasses and used hearing aids at various locations in Clarenville. These Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids are refurbished and redistributed to people in need throughout the world.

The drop-off locations are: Clarenville Area Co-op; Cowan's Optical; Vogue Optical; East Coast Eye Care; O'Mahony Manor; Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital; Random Square Mall and Eastern Health.

SENIORS’ BUSING, VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Clarenville Region Extended Seniors Transportation (CREST) system is a partnership between the Town of Clarenville and Random Age-Friendly Communities committed to providing appropriate and affordable transportation for people over 60, as well as for people confined to wheel chairs.
