The event pits the RCMP Masters against the Discovery Health team each year and raises money for the Discovery Health Care Foundation.
This year, the event raised $5,900.
The tournament’s namesake, Dave Hawkins, was a major minor hockey proponent in Clarenville and an employee of the local hospital.
His wife, Christine, and daughter, Katie, were on hand for the official puck drop again this year.
The end result of the annual game saw the Discovery team beat the RCMP 9-5.
