Eastern Health is advising the public the main entrance of Golden Heights Manor in Bonavista will be closed to residents beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
According to a news release issued Friday, Nov. 8, the closure of the entrance is due to a repair project being done on the columns and overhang.
The project is expected to take about seven weeks, during which residents, visitors and staff are directed to use the building’s side entrance facing the harbour.
Signage will be in place directing people to the alternate entrance.
Construction will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with workers on-site between these times. Normal safeguards will be in place; however, residents, visitors and staff are advised to proceed with caution in the main entrance area, and to expect some noise and disruption.
Eastern Health thanks the public and staff for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
